Shear Madness is a 72-foot Nordhavn trawler built in 2005 by Pacific Asian Enterprises with interior design by Scott Cole of Ardeo Design. Nordhavns are designed for long range cruising combining exceptional comfort with reliability and long range capability. Shear Madness weighs over 250,000 pounds (more than 120,000 kilos), carries over 4500 gallons of diesel, and has a cruising range of over 5000 nautical miles. Average cruising speed is 8 knots with top speeds of about 10 knots. Slower speeds mean longer range.
She is equipped with two Detroit Diesel 400 horsepower engines, two Village Marine watermakers, sonar, radar, electronic charting systems, autopilots, VHF and single sideband radios, and a variety of state of the art safety equipment.
Shear Madness provides a high degree of comfort while cruising – heat and air conditioning, watermakers to keep the fresh water tanks full for unlimited hot showers, a full size galley, four spacious staterooms, and plenty of room for toys!
Shear Madness was purchased by Bradley Rosenberg and Kathy Clark on April 1, 2010. We plan to spend the next 5 or 10 years cruising all over the world.

Excellent blog you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any message boards that cover the same
topics discussed here? I’d really like to be a part of group where
I can get opinions from other experienced people that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Cheers!
