2014-12 More Videos and a contest!

December 8, 2014

Below are links to two new videos – the first features some beautiful polar bears, including an incredible swimmer (3.5 mins) and the second is a tribute to Migration, our cruising buddy for the summer of 2014 (3.5 mins). These and previous videos are available on my youtube channel.

We have received the beautiful Nordhavn 2015 calendars, which feature Shear Madness as Miss January. This is your chance to win one of the calendars. All we want to do is hear from you. Leave a comment or reply to the email you receive if you are a subscriber and mention the word Calendar. You’ll be entered in a drawing to win one. Please include a little more in your reply – with our lifestyle this blog is one of our prime ways of keeping in touch with everyone, so we love to hear from you! Entries close Dec 15th.

One last thing – we have improved our location tracking – you can see our current location, or a map of our travels since 2011 under the About tab.

This particular headset was just as spectacular because within the photo. That it arrived quickly. I would advise using a towel more than each and every level as you press that over w / one steam iron. It doesn’t vapor over along with only a steamer. The actual iron is needed. It is very sensitive, so if you never trust personally using the towel to vapor iron, therefore consume things up to a pro. Pretty audio.

Because an agency is performance driven and striving to keep the business as a client, they will generally produce better work in a quicker time frame. Using this method will keep you safe from being punished by Google’s strict rules on SEO, and will also mean that what traffic you do get from your SEO work is actually useful and could lead to real sales. The world is at your feet as far as selecting a good service.

    Calendar competition

Hi Kathy, Thanks for your posts. I joined as a subscriber to your blog a couple of months ago and have enjoyed the way you are sharing your experiences on Shear Madness. Thanks for taking the time to share.

I live in Perth Western Australia and have been a long time admirer of Nordhavn which is in our retirement plans. We have made a couple of trips to the east and west coast of the USA to view Nordhavn’s as it is always great to learn more and get up close. My wife Tracy our 2 children and I currently enjoy our Riviera 42 (Australian design planning boat) and have our regular couple of weeks break coming up over Christmas. (Usually very hot weather at an island called Rottnest just off our coast) We are long time boaties with my wife a commercial skipper running her own boat training school.

    Well done with Miss January!

    All the best Anthony Smith

It’s polar bear country here now, at least it feels that way and has been for the past few days but NO snow. The temperature has been up and down like a whores drawers and is going back up to 8 before the weekend, we hope.

written by Wilf Cude is the chap I was hoping would hail Shear Madness as she sailed past his front porch, alas Arthur was on his way and everyone was too busy. Another time, perhaps.

Thank you so much for this blog of yours. I look forward to every one. I am currently home bound in Chicago and winter in Chicago is not exactly a fun time of the year to say the least. I live vicariously through your post. #1 on my bucket would be a long distant voyage on the deck of my own boat.
    Thank you.

Hi Kathy and Brad plus Crew. Wow – what a great series of clips you put together. Those ice bergs are amazing. Amazing to think how the ships moved through those seas before radar and radio to let you know what was around. The night time must have been exciting to think you could suddenly be a bit too close to one. – –

Love the blogs and the information you share. So glad you take the time to pass on the experience.

Calendar, Calendar, Calendar! There that should do it!

I’ve been following your travels for years, and up until Bradley’s post of what it takes to be a “Cruiser” I’ve always thought of your travels as romantic and relaxing. After reading about what you have to do to exist 24×7 on Shear Madness, I’ve changed my view of it. While I’m sure there are really awesome times (I’ve seen your pictures) I don’t know that I would particularly welcome those 2:00 AM checks that accompany being out on the ocean. At any rate, I’ll be content to live vicariously through your adventures – what a life!

BTW, the Cowboys play the Eagles Sunday night in Philly – should be more interesting than the Thanksgiving Day game, although it may have a similar result! Sorry about those Skins – blitzed and no chance for a break-even season!

    Peace, George

    Kathy & Brad plus crew,

Your CALENDAR contest is a great idea. I hope this email qualifies as an entry.

We watched your Videos on our smart TV, through the YouTube app. Your YouTube channel is now regular TV for us. What an awesome experience you are having and thanks for sharing it now worldwide!

We’re in Charleston as before. Now living on a 1972 Hatteras 53 that we purchased in May. Having a great experience, and lots of enjoyment cruising around. Naturally on a mini many scale compared to you all.

When will you be back down in this area?

    Best to all from Charleston,

While I don’t comment on your posts each time, I certainly follow them and enjoy the words and video that you and Bradley so thoughtfully send to all of us. What an adventure and CY 2014 has been an exceptional one.

Best to you for the holidays and have a happy new year wherever you are in 2015.

I’m a liveaboard as well on a much smaller trawler but I do hope one day to have a Nordhavn and do some long distance cruising outside of the Chesapeake Bay. Incidentally my Aunt used to work for Landmark in Columbus, Ohio.
